Four decades of advising small businesses across three states.

From a single Texas office to four locations and a national tax-filing subsidiary.

Better Business Services Inc. has operated continuously since 1983. The firm grew out of a national bookkeeping practice that once served clients from more than 100 locations. Founder John M. Carr acquired the Texas and Florida operations, expanded the service mix, and built the group into what it is today.

We were one of the first firms in the region to file accepted returns electronically with the IRS — an early signal of how this practice prefers to operate: ahead of the curve, but quiet about it.
